How an SCBA Safety Check Works
Mobile Testing.  Without unit disassembly, downtime, or use and depletion of your air cylinders, SCBAs are checked on a standard head form and artificial lung unit for:

Testing requires only 15 minutes per unit.  Hard copy results are provided immediately.

Printed reports.  For industry, OSHA requires monthly inspection and records of dates and results to be kept for all SCBAs maintained for emergency use.  SCBA Safety Check, Inc. provides objective, third-party documentation of tester, test date, respirator type and serial number, visual inspection findings, pass/fail of all functional tests, and indication of need for hydrostatic testing of cylinders.

All fire services are governed by NFPA regulations and NFPA-1500 recommendations.
 
 

Experienced Service - by Contract or on a One-Time Basis

SCBA Safety Check inspectors are professionals in the fire and toxics safety fields.  They know what it is to rely on SCBAs in an emergency and can advise you and your staff on proper use, storage, repair, maintenance and testing.  We offer experienced service, please call for prices.

Economical Individual Testing
For low-need environments with a minimal number of units, individual tests are available.  For per unit test cost, refer to price sheet.

Convenient, Economical Contract Service
For environments where SCBAs are numerous, use is frequent, and/or mass testing is prudent , money-saving contracts are available.  In addition to the immediate "pass/fail" on-site hard copy reports, written summaries are mailed to Test Contract clients within a week.

Service and frequency can be tailored to your department or company needs.  Under our special Service Contract, we will also test units, pick up units and arrange repair, and return them quickly to you.  Last, a computer recheck of the seven essential SCBA parameters is performed before units return to service.
